Diamond Foods is headquartered in
Albertville, Alabama and operates a
state-of-the-art United States Department of
Agriculture (USDA) inspected facility that
provides custom deboning and further
processing services for the poultry
industry. The plant is approximately 30,000
sq. ft. with ample refrigerated storage. The
processing area is maintained at
temperatures at or below 50 degrees year
round.
Diamond has been inspected and approved by
the largest poultry companies, Pilgrims
Pride and Tyson Foods. Since opening in
September of 2007, Diamond has processed an
average weekly volume of 600,000 pounds. The
custom deboning and portioning contracts
have included front half deboning, breast
fillet sizing and portioning, tender sizing
and portioning, nugget portioning, thigh
deboning, slitting and portioning large
breast fillets into small fillets, breast
and thigh meat stripping with Caruthers
machine, repackaging and grading of tenders
and fillets, marinating tenders, breast or
thigh meat, IF or IQF boneless, and cutting
whole wings into party wings. Diamond has
the management expertise and plant
capability to handle most any custom poultry
processing need. We pride ourselves in doing
quality work. In nearly 4 months of
processing for major companies, we have had
no quality complaints.
In addition to its state-of-the-art
facility, one of Diamond Foods most
important strengths is its management’s
knowledge of the business and key customer
contacts. Diamond is led by a seasoned
management team with over 80 years combined
manufacturing, sales, supply chain,
logistics, and maintenance experience. Rocky
Frazier, CEO and co-owner, has over 30 years
experience in the poultry equipment,
fabrication and processing business. Rocky
also owns Fabco Equipment Company which is
one of the largest poultry and food
processing fabricators and equipment
builders and installers in the food
industry. David Strawn, president and
co-owner, has been in the poultry industry
for over 30 years and has held vice
president of operations and business
management positions with the largest
poultry producer. David is also the current
president of the Coleman Natural Foods
prepared foods division in Gainesville, GA.
Greg Shell, plant manager, has over 25 years
poultry processing experience and has
overseen the start-up and operation of
several facilities. Greg is a stickler on
quality and has broad, yet detailed
knowledge of the custom deboning business.
